Agreement

By creating an account or using Stead (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. Stead is currently operated by its founders. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Who can use it

You may use the Service if you can form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction and you're not barred from doing so under applicable law. The Service is intended for students and those involved in university life.

Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Please provide accurate information and let us know if you suspect unauthorized use.

Acceptable use

• Don't misuse, disrupt or attempt to break the Service.
• Don't use it to break the law or infringe others' rights.
• Don't access accounts or data that aren't yours.

The service will change

The Service is early and evolving. Features may be added, changed or removed, and availability isn't guaranteed. We'll try to avoid disruptive changes where we can.

Third-party services and universities

The Service can connect to third-party tools using accounts you already have. Those services have their own terms, and we're not responsible for them. Connecting them is your choice.

The Service is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any university or any of the third-party products it can connect to, and it is not an official university system.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add. You grant us the limited permissions needed to operate and provide the Service to you.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or a replacement for your university's official systems.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product grows. When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the date above.
